I Hjärtat av Sikanda (2009)
I Hjärtat av Sikanda was a high fantasy Larp outside Gothenburg in may 2009. I played a wood elf together with
my girlfriend Sara Nyström and a few other people. In this world the elfs had lost their land to the humans
who invaded from the north hundreds of years ago. The elven tribes were oppressed and often used as slaves.
We were fighting to get our land back but instead we ended up in the dark elves ritual that droved us crazy
for awhile. Except for humans and dark elves, there also were the Orcs to deal with.

Dragonbane (2006)
Dragonbane was my first international LARP with people coming from all over Europe.
The LARP had some of the coolest special effects I ever seen, complete with a real Dragon walking around!
I was playing Dani a Dragontamer from the clan Griffin Dancers on a mission to slay the Dragon.
What I liked most however was the culture differences between the groups.
The Tamers were very individualistic, the Cinderhillians had a communistic way of thinking and the Witches
always operated in pair.

Toner av sommar (2005)
Toner av Sommar was a fantasy LARP near Stockholm. I played a traveler with a really strange accent.
Under the LARP I got spelled by female woodspirits and I almost hanged myself in the village.
There were also a surprise attack from barbarians in the middle of the night and nobody deared to sleep.

När rosor dör (2003)
När rosor dör was a horror-fantasy larp in Älvsbyn, really far north in Sweden. It was quite small
with around 50-60 participants. There were a few great moments. When one of the characters died
we showed our respect by burning his body (a fake one of course). His wife acted great
crying real tears! I also had a scary encounter with a ghost riding a horse. So scary that I actually
stumbled for real into a tent.

Sommarvind (2003)
Sommarvind was a LARP outside Stockholm organized by Josefin Alfredson and Petter Jiveskog. Actually
the same people who did the high praised musical Hednadotter a few years later. A spoiled princess
goes to a small village and turn everyday life upside down for the people living there. There are people
conspiring to kidnap the princess and the forest has it dangers of it own with evil elfs lurking around.
I played Mr Giger, a musician who constantly told people what his family used to say
or do in different situations. "As we Gigers used to say..." was a standard phrase.

När mörkret faller (2002)
När mörkret faller, or better known as Falby 2 was a LARP in Ludvika located in the middle of Sweden.
I was there together with a band of mercenaries
hired to protect the village. We were a big group of soldiers (around 50) all dressed in red. I was playing Ulv
a Casanova, hitting on every girl he could find. But then Ulv got intrested in a girl for real.
Too bad then that she already was engaged, and not just to anyone, but her own brother!

Williams arv (2001)
Williams Arv was a LARP in Ronneby south of Sweden. It was early in the spring and freezing cold.
I played a servant and a bodyguard to a noble man.
It didn´t take long however before I got myself in trouble. The noble man released (fired me!)
from his service
and I left just to get banned from the village, because I didn´t show respect to their god.
I fled from the village guards and ended up in the bandits nest, were I was druged and robbed.

Liemannen (2000)
Liemannen was a LARP in Västerås by Enhörningen.
This was the first (and only time) I´ve
been wearing a wig on a LARP. The wig wasn´t very good quality and the hair kept falling off all the time.
There were some great moments under the LARP. One involved a group of noble men who conducted secret experiments on
trolls and other magical creatures. The trolls took their revenge and abducted an innocent girl
from the village, a girl
that my character was very fond of. The trolls abused her and cut her hair off.
She barley came back to the village alive only to die from losing too much blood. :(

Nattögon (2000)
Nattögon was a LARP in Ludvika, Dalarna. I had real fun playing a character who was
stuttering all the time. It got really weird when the druid tried to heal me. The magic potion
that was supposed to cure me instead wiped out my voice completly for one whole day!
When my voice finally returned I was stuttering worse than ever. There were also some great belly dancers
at the LARP.

Tvistetid (2000)
Tvistetid also known as Ilkabreth 3 was a big LARP in Ludvika, Dalarna organized by some real veterans.
I started out as a betrayer and tried to nestle myself into the ruling family of the village. However, my cover was blown
and after just one day I changed my character and became the bard "Song" instead. That worked out nicely and I had a really
fun second part of the LARP. I especially remember when the court wizard used magic (or at least fireworks) to transform
a simple guard to a bag of salt!

Skuggorna nalkas (2000)
Skuggorna Nalkas was a high fantasy beginners LARP by Enhörningen
in Västerås. I played a soldier and mercenary of the "White Wolfs".
Even thought the LARP itself didn´t hold a very high quality, with participants going out of character all the time, it still
had a few great moments. It were quite exiting when the orcs attacked and breaked through our barricades. I got hurt and had real fun
playing wounded while one of the girls at the camp tended me.

Morgondagg (1999)
Morgondagg was a small rainy LARP. We were seven people in our group (both girls and boys) sharing a tent for
three (talk about crowdy!)
Our group was a mix of entertainers including musicans (systrarna Kling), a foul (narren Skratt)
and me (as Sång). A moment I remember especially was when some guys showed up naked (I still dosn´t know why?) outside the Taverna.
They were soon knocked unconcious before being dragged away by the village people.

Midnattseld (1999)
Midnattseld is still one of my best LARPs. I and four other guys were pretending to be
acrobats and jugglers when we really were bandits. We came to the village Silverhed to steal a chest with valuble
items. We not only did steal the chest, but also did it in front of some other bandits having the same
goal. A clever thief named "Räv" also played an important role in our plans.
The LARP had a nice climax with a great fire at midnight and orcs overtaking the Taverna - forcing people to flee for their life.

Värdshuset vid skogens rand (1999)
Värdshuset vid skogens rand were a small LARP for around 50 persons. I played a warrior
that mostly sat in the taverna drinking. The most dramatic moment of the LARP was when one of the travelers was exposed as a vampire
and had to be killed. He had a whole chest full of creapy stuff including strange potions and a dagger for human sacrifices.
Before the LARP was over I almost attacked an innocent elfin girl lurking around the village, since my character thought of elfs as
evil.

Lajvmiddag Fågelsången (1999)
The only LARP (or disaster?) I´ve partly organized (the other part was done by my good friend
Christoffer Nordvall).
The LARP was located in Vallentuna, north of Stockholm, in a small wooden cabin.
It was winter and night. Minus 20 celcius degree and freezing cold. We had prepared five different
meals for the 20 participants, but we couldn´t cook since the fireplace wasn´t working. So then we started drinking the 30 bottles of strong mead instead.
That seemed like a good idea, until one of the participants puked all over the floor. After that no one cared about playing their characters anymore.

Gryning (1998)
Gryning was a really big LARP outside Gothenburg, south of Sweden. We were four guys going there playing some kinds of weird entertainers.
Many great songs were invented before and under this LARP.
There were two villages (Björkeby and Östanby) and two tavernas on the LARP. It was really rainy but we
had a lot of fun anyway. I had a great time playing against (and competing with) a female bard named Lina (played by Maria Sundstedt). I also
got trapped inside the Taverna when the orcs attacked. I survived the encounter only to get robbed by bandits the next day.

Skuggspel (1997)
Skuggspel was a quite good LARP near Stockholm. I played a wizard apprentice, with just enough power
to freeze someone for around ten minutes - but then I was totally out of power. I also had a strange magic (disco!) ball
that could flash in all kinds of colors. Skuggspel is the only LARP were I´ve been together
with my friend Staffan Ekvall, co-developer of
Perfect Battle. There were two locations in the LARP were you could go.
The villages and the taverna. The forest in between were full of secrets to uncover and the LARP
had many great actors adding their talent to the illusion. Instead of orcs they had a pink colored demon race,
and there were also a few gunpowder weapons at the LARP.

Tys Ran-Greim (1996)
Tys Ran-Greim was a future (madmax inspired) LARP with the setting in a distant planet were all the worst criminals of the galaxy were being held.
Something went wrong and the criminals took control over the facilities while the autorities fled with all remaining spaceships.
With the autorities gone the criminals formed different alliances and started fighting against each other. I was playing a psycotic murderer.
The location had huge sand hills were you could sink to your knees in sand.
It was incredibly hot with a blazing sun. The LARP also featured grafitti painted cars and
techno music. Some guys were even acting cybernetic robots. In short still one of my more original LARP experiences.

Lanorath (1996)
Lanorath was a average fantasy LARP early in the spring. I was playing a trader selling jewelry and was there
together with my friend Cristian Håkansson, co-developer of the ezine
Freakshow.
My strongest moment of the LARP was when the bad guys lured me into the woods and tortured me.
After being rescued I acted really hurt
both mentally and physical as the victim I was. Another thing I remember were the trolls being really stupid.
For example they belived that they could become
invisible by closing their own eyes. That didn´t work of course but they were real fun looking at.

Månbarn (1995)
Månbarn was my first LARP ever. I was 16 years old and came there alone with my mom driving me.
I played a trader and had a few small things to sell and a oversized (club-like) broadsword to defend myself.
I soon teamed up with two other guys. One playing a warrior (or something like that) and the other an old storieteller
(complete with wig, beard and a old mans voice, very impressive at the time). The LARP was a little bit like a treasure
hunt with small pieces of a treasure map circulating everywhere. I also remember one guy doing a great job playing a hobbit,
running around barefoot and eating.
